The creator of dairy trends presents the first cheese to enjoy with a spoon in Quebec

SOREL-TRACY, Quebec, February 8th 2016 – After the success of its Petit Pot line last fall, Riviera is expanding its offering with a range of French-Style Fresh Cheeses inspired by French cuisine and available in four flavours. First dairy products manufacturer to launch a cheese that can be enjoyed by the spoonful in Quebec, Riviera takes advantage of its four generations of savoir-faire to create new culinary trends.

Little known in Quebec, not a Greek yogurt or cottage cheese, but rather a creamy cheese. Of French origin, it has a consistency similar to Greek yogurt, with the advantage of having a softer, rounder taste. Produced in the Laiterie Chalifoux factory, maker of the brand Riviera Petit Pot, Riviera’s French-Style Fresh Cheeses are made with milk from neighbouring farms in the Montérégie region.

“With our French-Style Fresh Cheese, we invite Quebecers to discover a new gourmet pleasure and renew our commitment to marry tradition and new culinary trends, initiated by Riviera Petit Pot. French-Style Fresh Cheeses had little presence in the Quebec dairy landscape and we are proud to launch today a locally-crafted fresh cheese. Once again, Riviera establishes itself as a creative trendsetter in the dairy industry with an innovative product that will appeal to all,” says Martin Valiquette, General Manager of Laiterie Chalifoux.

Made with natural ingredients, Riviera’s French-Style Fresh Cheeses, all sold in 480g containers, are available in four flavours: plain, vanilla, strawberry, and raspberry. With honey, purées, fresh fruit or syrup, French-Style Fresh Cheese is an excellent addition to any breakfast or snack.

Renowned for its high calcium and protein content, this lighter alternative to Greek yogurt and its comforting flavours will appeal to Quebecers seeking gourmet novelty and will soon be among the essential dairy products on the market.
